After going through a series of reincarnations, the current members of the Blue Öyster Cult are: Eric Bloom on lead vocals and stun guitar, Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser on lead guitar and vocals, Richie Castellano on keyboard, rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Jules Radino on drums and percussion, and Kasim Sulton on bass guitar and backing vocals. Put away those cigarettes. Sadly, founding member Allen Lanier, who was the keyboardist and guitarist and referred to on the band's website as their mysterious "Cigarette Smoking Man," died last year at the age of 67 after being hospitalized with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which is caused by smoking. "On Your Feet or On Your Knees," this is still going to be "Some Enchanted Evening."

Haven't heard of Blue Öyster Cult? They pioneered heavy metal, influencing bands such as Metallica, and inspired psychedelic jam bands. Contemporary bands such as Evanescence and The Goo Goo Dolls have covered their hit, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper." Punk darling Patti Smith co-penned the lyrics to "Career of Evil," among others, and cyberpunk sci-fi author, John Shirley, also wrote some songs.
