'Blue Meanie' kicks off new series of limited Beatles 'Yellow Submarine' statues

A new series of limited edition statues inspired by the Beatles' film "Yellow Submarine" will start shipping next week.

KnuckleBonz Inc. announced Tuesday its "Blue Meanie" figurine is the latest addition to its Rock Iconz series. The statues, licensed and approved by Apple Corps Ltd., are 1/9 scale and approximately 9 inches high. Suggested retail price is $115. Each is hand-painted, numbered and each comes with a certificate of authenticity. It will be limited to 1,968 made.
 
The Beatles Blue Meanie Statue is scheduled to begin shipping Nov. 29. It is available at http://knucklebonz.com/beatlesbluebeanie.html and through some retailers.
 
Rock Iconz statues of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr will be available in February. Only 3,000 of each of these statues will be made. See http://knucklebonz.com/beatles.html for more information.

    These are very nice. Some of the best likenesses I've seen on this type of memorabilia. That being said, do we really need MORE Yellow Submarine items, especially at a cost of over $100 each! In this economy, if I am spending that much money, I will buy a bunch of Beatles items that add up to $115. More Beatles for the buck. Nice idea but not what I need at this time.

    These foolish things would look great alongside that ridiculously overpriced Yellow sub toy that was posted here a few months back.
