Blue Man Group in Orlando goes "dark", performances resume Feb 9

The Blue Man Group isn't just a show specific to Universal Orlando, but they do perform nightly there. They occasionally tour the country and perform in other cities across the United States with a different cast, so two shows are never exactly alike. In 2007, Universal replaced the Nickelodeon Studios with Blue Man. Since the show made its debut, it has yet to change.

Blue Man Group made its final performance last night for the month of January and the first week of February. Nothing has been announced regarding this "dark" period, but rumors suggest that Universal will be making a few changes to the show. Blue Man shows will resume again on February 9, 2012.

While nothing official has been announced, it makes sense for Blue Man to have changes made to the show. While it is a great show and I highly recommend you see it, it has not changed since it opened in 2007. The lack of change to the show has been quite a large complaint from the general public. Universal has scheduled a media-only web announcement of "new and exciting entertainment experiences" coming for 2012. With the announcement just a few days away, Universal may announce changes to the show.
