I've never been one for hole-in-the-wall bars and hopping into cars with strangers, but I managed to cross both pegs off of my list one late Saturday evening in the summer of 2011. My friend and I called him 'Spike' and accepting a ride from him at 4:00am was one of the best decisions we've ever made.
As we were lead inside of Blue Boar Tavern by our knight in leather armor we were awe-struck. A fully functioning after-hours bar (open until 5:00am), Blue Boar Tavern is one of the very few places in town where you can still relax with a cold one...even if you have to be at work at nine.
The perfect late night solution for all those who are employed in ‘the biz', Blue Boar Tavern is stacked with a greasy, feel-good menu and everything from top-shelf liquor to that questionable beer you used to shotgun at your college tailgates. If you aren't a night owl, fear not, Blue Boar Tavern caters to all residents in Palm Beach County; not just Spike and his newfound angels. On Saturdays from 8:00pm-Midnight it's Men's Night: 2-4-1 drinks for all of you gents out there that want to get a little rowdy without breaking the bank. Family owned, this is a bar that deserves recognition for staying true to its customers no matter the time. (Except for after 5:00am...the bartenders have to sleep too you know.)
