‘Blue Bloods’ season finale: Danny tips off Frank on massive internal NYPD issue

Danny Reagan might be using his closeness to the New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan to get his job done on the season finale. Who says it is not good to be related to someone important? Promising a cliffhanger for the finale episode before the summer, the “Blue Blood” spoilers offer up a look at a case that was supposed to be kept quiet. According to Mercury News on Friday, Danny comes across department information that is shocking and he gets in trouble for exploring the details.

The episode, “Exiles” finally gives the audience a chance to see what happens when the Reagan family needs to come together to fight crime. For all the times that the family has fought off the idea that they didn't talk shop at home, in this episode it appears essential that the family work together to solve a crime within the police department.

When Danny is placed on modified duty after investigating a case that was off-limits, he realizes he stumbled upon something that someone is trying to keep quiet. When he passes the tip on to his father, Frank is alarmed when he learns the enormity of this case and the internal involvement. Knowing that there could be severe repercussions inside and outside of the department, Frank needs to make some tough choices that might shake up his department.

The "Blue Bloods" story offers up a chance for new cast members to be introduced in the upcoming season and fans might even say goodbye to a few of the regulars on the show. It also will give “Blue Blood” fans an opportunity to reflect on how Frank runs his department and reveals what he does when an internal crisis hits the NYPD. As the season comes to a close, it is intriguing to see how the struggle shapes the new season.
