New details have been revealed in regards to the PS4 exclusive video game, "Bloodborne." According to a report by Dual Shockers on Aug. 16, From Software decided to revamp the counter system in the new intellectual property when compared to the "Souls" games. Instead of a shield, the player will have to rely on the shotgun.
To use the counter shot maneuver, the player has to first fire a bullet at just the right moment, which should be right before an enemy is about to land a blow. When done correctly, the opposition is going to start to collapse. During this time, you can use your primary weapon to perform a devastating special attack.
"Bloodborne" was playable to fans for the first time at Gamescom. The shotgun was mapped to the L2 button (and can be switched in favor or a torch) while the primary weapon is mapped to the R1 button. The R2 button was also used for a stronger (but slower) attack using the same weapon.
The action role-playing game was leaked earlier this year right before it was officially announced at the E3 2014 media briefing for Sony Computer Entertainment. The project is being developed by From Software with support being provided by the Japan Studio at Sony. It is the second time the two companies have collaborated with the first project being "Demon's Souls," which was released in 2009 on the PS3.
"Bloodborne" is currently set to be released sometime during the first quarter of 2015. In the same window, the PS4 should also be getting "MLB: The Show 15" and "The Order 1886" from the first-party side along with multiplatform releases such as "Batman Arkham Knight," "Battlefield Hardline" and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." As a result, PS4 players should have plenty to look forward to in just the early months on next year.
