Blood will flow and zombies will walk at this week's Texas Frightmare Weekend

On such shows as “The Walking Dead,” the click and shuffle of atrophied limbs can cause hearts to race in expectant chests. But in this case these chests do not belong to such zombie apocalypse survivors as Rick, Daryl or Glenn. They belong to the thousands of horror fans who will be visiting the Texas Frightmare Weekend when it descends on the Hyatt Regency hotel in D/FW Airport Texas.

The annual convention will bring a weekend of scares, camaraderie, blood and celebrity guests as thousands will visit Texas from all over the world. Such great horror icons as “Saw’s” Tobin Bell, “Red State’s” Michael Parks, and the Godfather of the flesh eating Zombie movement himself George Romero will be on hand May 2-4 to sign autographs and usher in panel discussions of horror movies both new and old.

Shock rock royalty will be represented as well as “Kiss” guitarist Ace Frehley, “Twisted Sister” front man Dee Snider and Marilyn Manson’s own Twiggy Ramirez to talk music and sign also.
