A musical institution since 1968, Blood Sweat & Tears has left a permanent mark on the American music scene. One of the greatest horn bands in the history of popular music, Blood, Sweat & Tears (BS&T) alumni roster reads like a Who’s Who of the world’s greatest jazz and rock musicians and now BS&T brings their world tour to Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center in York.
BS&T became the first band to tour behind the Iron Curtain and to have 3 hit singles from one record. They appeared at the original Woodstock and have earned multiple gold albums, 10 Grammy nominations and 3 Grammy awards including Album of the Year.
Blood Sweat & Tears is considered by many critics to be the musical version of Saturday Night Live. Though the members have changed throughout the years, under the guidance of the last original member Bobby Colomby, who no longer performs, the ideology of BS&T remains the same - great musicians make great music.
BS&T hits include:
- You've Made Me So Very Happy
- Spinning Wheel
- And When I Die
- Hi-De-Ho
- Lucretia Mac Evil
- Go Down Gamblin
- God Bless The Child
- Sometimes in Winter
BS&T’s current performing members are, Teddy Mulet – Trumpet; Glenn McClelland – Keyboard; Jason Paige – Vocals; Ken Gioffre – Saxophone; Gary Foote – Bass; Steve Jankowski – Trumpet; Jens Wendelboe – Trombone; Andrea Valentini – Drums; Dave Gellis - Guitar/Vocals.
