Tonight a new movie is coming to Animal Planet. This is called "Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys" and it is trying to be the next "Sharknado" but it looks like things are not going to work out as planned. On Sunday, Boston Herald shared about this new movie that will air tonight. This movie stars Shannon Doherty, Jason Brooks, and Christopher Lloyd.

This movie stars Shannon Doherty. She will move to a lake town only to find out that killer lampreys live all over this town. This is of course not a good thing and is the main focus of this new flick. These animals want blood and it kind of reminds viewers of a cheaper version of "Jaws." There is a lot of carnage in this movie. There is town panic in this flick and things are going to be wild.

Hollywood Soap Box talked to Jason Brooks from this movie He is best known for his time on the show "Days of Our Lives." Jason has always loved monster movies but he said the hardest part of this movie was all of the special effects. Of course you can't always see what is going on around you when filming movies like this one.

The lamprey in this movie are made to suck blood from their prey. Jason had heard of them but didn't really know what they were or anything about them. These are jawless animals that were actually around before the dinosaurs were on the planet. They make a hole in the side of their prey so that they can suck their blood out. They can stay attached to another animal for weeks just living off of their blood.

The premiere of "Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys" will air tonight on Animal Planet. It will air at 8 p.m. CST in the Oklahoma City area. It also repeats several times this week.
