As unusual weather has gripped the East coast, many people often forget how important to give blood during these imperative times. Currently, 1500 blood drives in over 34 states were cancelled due to inclimate weather, leaving an absence of 50,000 of uncollected pints of blood. This statics was offered by Lindsay English, a spokesperson for American Red Cross, who ask anyone who is eligible to schedule an appointment and donate.
Life Scout, John Greco for Belleville Troop #350 with association with the American Red Cross, has selected his Eagle project to be a Blood Drive. On Saturday, March 8th from 10 AM til 4 PM Belleville’s Presbyterian Church will host it’s 1st annual Blood Drive. In order to complete John’s Eagle project, 100 pints of blood are needed to complete his goal. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please mark your calendar and make an appointment to donate a pint of blood. Not only will a life be saved with your donation of blood, but John will achieve rank of Eagle Scout. All donors must be 17 or older, 16 must have parental consent.
