There is a new place to be downtown St. Louis in the ever so blooming Washington Loft District. Blondie's Coffee, Wine & Dessert Bar has arrived on the scene and is ready to cater to the lovers on Valentine's Day.
The bar located at 1301 Washington Ave, is usually closed after 3pm on Tuesdays, however Cupid extended their hours until 10pm. This will give all the sweethearts time to plan and reserve (advised) their places in this warm and cozy eaterie.
Situated like an upscale livingroom, Blondie's will entertain your every moods and hopefully put a luminous spark back in your romance. They are open as early as 6:30 a.m. serving breakfast daily, and on Saturday and Sunday breakfast is served until 4pm.
After 4pm, you can start the Valentine's Day off with a small plate of Scared Beef Tenderloin or Scallop & Shrimp Combo served with cauliflower couscous and carrot with white wine shallot sauce. Their Beef Carpaccio is thinly sliced black pepper cured filet Mignon with horseradish sauce, parmesan, pickled onions and black peppercorn.
Blondie's has delicious Cheese plates, Italian Salami, and Veggie Plate featuring seasoned fresh vegetables served with Blondie's homemade herb dip and crostinis. Blondie's also serves Market Fresh fish at reasonable pricing to fit any budget.
There are a large variety of salads like the Greek salad with Mixed greens, artichoke, feta, olives, cucumber, red onion and Greek dressing. The Chicken salad is scrumptious with chicken, red grapes, almonds, celery, field greens and Lemon herb vinaigrette.
The sandwiches are served with your choice of chips or fruit. The BLT, which is very tempting, and has a nice slice of bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo and is served on toasted honey wheat bread.
The soup and large selections of desserts are priced within the budget like the Blondie's Hot Fudge Popover, Rootbeer Floats and the Key Lime Cheesecake. They even have hot cocktail desserts that are named after famous stars like the Lana Turner: Tuaca, Herradura Anejo Tequila, a pinch of cinnamon and cayenne mixed with homemade whipped cream.
How can we forget the wine for the lovers? There are large selections of wines to choose from like the Washington Ayler Kupp Riesling or the Chardonnay.
