According to music supervisor Brad Rosenberger, he and the band have actually been in talks of doing a recording for the film’s soundtrack for a while, and was happy at the fact Blondie just went in and did the song, which originally appeared on the band’s landmark album Parallel Lines. The new version of “Sunday Girl” appears on the film soundtrack, which also includes “Roxanne” by the Police, “I Wanna Be Your Dog” by the Stooges, and “Kick out the Jams” by the MC5.
