Blonde Redhead CD Release Party and guest DJ FIGO (NYC) at Lipgloss

On Friday, Lipgloss at La Rumba hosted the official Blonde Redhead CD release party for their new album Penny Sparkle, followed by a guest DJ set by FIGO (NYC). FIGO were on a DJ tour celebrating the release of their A Place to Bury Strangers and Boxer Rebellion remixes.

At midnight, Lipgloss gave away copies of Blonde Redhead's new album on vinyl and in deluxe CD packages, as well as tickets to Burning: The Mogwai Movie (Bluebird Theater, 9/23) and Midnight Movies at the Esquire, which featured the 80's favorite Ghostbusters this weekend.

Lipgloss is a weekly indie dance party at La Rumba that takes place every Friday night. For more information, visit Lipgloss Denver.

    Thanks Jess! I shoot with a Canon EOS 40D, usually with the Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 lens. For most of my nightlife photography (other than concerts), I use it in combination with a Sigma 500 DG flash. Settings vary, depending on location and lighting, but I usually set almost everything manually. For nightlife stuff, I shoot at high ISO (800-1600, sometimes I even go up to 3200) and I like to play with longer exposures to capture more background ambient light behind the subjects.
