At approximately 12:01 am on Wednesday, September 9, “Rock Band” and Beatles fans will have the opportunity to pre-order the much anticipated music videogame or purchase it on the spot.
The festivities start the evening before on September 8, when partygoers will see a live performance from AZ Beats, Arizona’s very own Beatles tribute band.
A game demo will also be available for attendees during the event, which will be held at the Tempe Blockbuster store, located at 3141 S. McClintock.
After the official release, Blockbuster will be selling a variety of “The Beatles: Rock Band” controllers, microphones and guitars. Included in the premium instruments that will be on sale are the Rickenhbacker 325 guitar and the Hofner Violin Bass (in honor of John Lennon and Paul McCartney), and the Gretsch Duo Jet Guitar and the Ludwig Pearl Finish Rock Band Drum Set (in honor of George Harrison and Ringo Starr). "The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Premium Bundle" will also be available for purchase, promising to be a hot commodity.
