Bloc Party & IO Echo Come To The Wellmont Theatre This Friday

Indie-rock-pop groups Bloc Party and IO Echo come to Montclair NJ's Wellmont Theatre for a show this Friday January 11th. Opening will be LA's IO Echo, who are touring on their 2012 first release (self titled). The band has opened for The Big Pink, Florence and The Machine, The Drums, and Nine Inch Nails and recently composed the score to the James Franco & Harmony Korine film “Rebel."

Bloc Party are a British Indie-Rock group that formed in 2003 in London, releasing four albums since their start. They're currently touring on (appropriately titled) 'Four,' which is their fourth and most recent album. Their influences range from Sonic Youth to The Smiths, and have found their own upbeat dance-rock style that they've found much success in.

Tickets are $35 in advance, and $40 at the door. Doors open at 7, and the show is at 8.
