Most children love blizzards - the kind that you slurp from Dairy Queen. Today, the predicted blizzard seems to be barreling down to Boston. Children love this kind of blizzards as well, as most schools are out!
Some think climate change. Others are praying for safety and power outage. Some are concerned about getting in touch with their loved ones. Others are hoping to reach their destination safely.
Christians can be reminded of a few things in times like these:
Firstly the white snow always reminds them of how their dirty streets are going to be blanketed clean. In a few hours, all the dirt and grime are going to disappear, hidden away by pristine snow.
God covers our filthy sin by the purity and righteousness of Jesus Christ. Only in this case, it is not a temporary covering, but a permanent one. Jesus takes our filth and washes it completely. He can do this because he lived a perfect life and as God, can clean as many as trust in Him.
