On March 12, Blizzard Entertainment's Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm (HotS) will invade the world. To promote the expansion, Blizzard is planning several launch events around the world that will start 24 hours prior to the game's release. Fans eagerly awaiting the expansion can attend the celebrations in person or watch them online via a live stream.
According to the Blizzard website, events will feature Starcraft II pro-gamers playing HotS matches while fan-favorite casters detail the games. Additionally, the website says Blizzard will "feature live demonstrations of new features in Heart of the Swarm, showcase videos and community content, and give away great prizes" at the events. Attending game developers will also sign autographs and meet with fans.

- Mexico

- Taiwan
- United States
The United States celebration will take place in Irvine, Calif. At this time, an event schedule as well as participating pro-gamers and casters have not yet been announced.
