The deadly blizzard Nemo was seen from space, according to a Feb. 9 Softpedia report. NASA's GOES-13 satellite snapped a picture of the massive storm forming yesterday before it hit the Northeastern U.S.
Nemo is a result of two separate storms combining to form a giant, new super storm. It is incredibly interesting to see Nemo from space. The size of the storm is astonishing. NASA's GOES officials said,
"the two systems came together and created a blizzard of historic proportions in New England."
So far several feet of snow has been dumped in the storm's path, and hundreds of thousands are without power in the freezing conditions. There were thousands of flight cancellations, and now people from Boston to New York are struggling to dig out from under the piles of snow after Nemo.
Of course, others took advantage of the snow to have some fun after the blizzard conditions blew over as seen in the slide show above.
