According to ComicBook.com on Feb. 9, it appears there would be a delay to the “Amazing Spider-Man 2” filming due to a major snow blizzard Nemo. Earlier this week, it was announced by Sony/Columbia pictures that production had started and would be filmed completely in New York.
Director Mark Webb has been tweeting about the event and posting different pictures from the set. Assistant director, Michael Lerman was even sitting idle, waiting for the blizzard to pass. The scene looks quite angelic, considering how the light is entering the room. Ironically enough, there is a Marvel character that goes by the name of Blizzard, but is an Iron Man rival. That being said, Blizzard would probably make a great addition to the movie in this specific event, but he’s simply not part of the plot.
Through the course of the past several days, Webb had been tweeting photos of Oscorp equipment, cameras used in the filming, and the number 14 locker that raises a lot of questions about Venom’s return to the movie. One of the pictures shown is a structure with a green screen that looks like a scene that would allow for Spider Man to swing through the shot.
“Amazing Spider-Man 2” is slated to be released on May 2, 2014 in the United States.
