The Blind Boys of Alabama will bring their soulful Gospel sound to the Princess Theatre in Decatur on Thursday, September 19, at 7 p.m. This group, which was founded in Talladega, AL, in 1939, opens the new season of events at Princess Theatre. Tickets are also available for other upcoming events at the theatre, as well.
The Monte Sano Arts Festival will be held at Monte Sano State Park on Saturday, September 21, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event features lots of different arts and crafts as well as over 100 artists.
The Rhythms, Brew, and BBQ Festival will be held at the Redstone Arsenal Activity Field on Saturday, September 21. Along with BBQ and beer, the festival will also feature concerts by JOE, Angie Stone, Raheem DeVaughn, and Dra'Karr & Art Experience. Doors open at 2 p.m., with the concert starting at 3 p.m.
The Bear and the Pyles will be in concert at Lowe Mill on Friday, September 20. This north Alabama group has been named one of the "12 Alabama Bands You Should Listen to Now" by Pasted Magazine. This concert, which is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., is part of the Concerts on the Dock concert series.
