Crème brûlée or burnt cream as it's translated is essentially divine custard that is topped with crystallized sugar and then lightly "burnt" with a blow torch. The texture of crème brûlée is a delight for the palate as the crispy sugar gives way to the creamy vanilla custard beneath. At the Bleu Bohème, patrons do not have to wait until after dinner to divulge in the heavenly dessert.
As part of their brunch/lunch menu, the Bleu Bohème serves a Gauffre Crème Brulée for breakfast! A gauffre (waffle in French) is topped with bananas, strawberries, and blueberries as well as a rich vanilla custard before becoming crusted with brown sugar. The end result is the perfect beginning or end to any breakfast. Enjoy with a glass of Lavender Lemonade mimosa.
The same fantastic custard can also be enjoyed in their Crêpe à la Crème Brulée that is found on their dessert menu (also served all day).
