Blessed Bonds (BB) is as special as the name it was given for it is a program, devised by A.D.O.P.T. Shelter in Naperville, to people and their pets together. This facet of A.D.O.P.T. has as their mission to preserve and promote the companion bond between humans and animals.
The people that promote this worthwhile cause truly believe that the animal is a family member, too, thus it is not right to sacrifice that member of the family when a temporary crisis comes about. Since the program’s inception in 2004, more than 1,200 pets were able to remain with their families instead of ending up in shelters or out on the street.
Blessed Bonds is available for a family when they experience personal crisis, such as:
· Job loss
· Domestic Violence
Many times, the pet is the one stable factor and families don’t want to lose them, too! So, the blessed people of Blessed Bonds intercede on the family’s behalf and locate temporary foster care for the pets.
Then, once the family is back on their feet, in a more stable situation, they get their pet back with no strings attached. The best part is that Blessed Bonds is FREE! No fee is ever required of the family! Talk about charity, here is a prime example of charity at its best!
This program is allowed to be so charitable thanks to its kind and generous supporters; those that realize that pets are family members, too. Although Blessed Bonds program of A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelters, it is financially independent thanks to its contributors!
In fact, BB seeks all of its own volunteers, donations and financial assistance. Donations are all tax-deductible to the extent of the law under A.D.O.P.T.’s 501 (c)(3) organizational tax ID #36-3683984. You can mail your donations to Blessed Bonds, 420 Industrial Drive, Naperville, IL 60563.
