A delicious, creamy and refreshing fruit beverage is easy to prepare and a great treat any day of the year. Sorbet is very refreshing as a dessert but when pureed together with just one other ingredient this drink becomes filling and turns the sorbet into a wonderful fruity smoothie.
- Place equal amounts of fruit sorbet and buttermilk into a blender.
- Then puree the mixture until it is smooth.
- Drink immediately while it is still chilled.
- Fruit sorbet in one flavor or a rainbow of flavors all work well to create this smoothie recipe. You can also bulk it up a little by adding some additional fruit such as peach, strawberry or mango slices as well as a handful of berries like blueberries, blackberries or raspberries or turn it into a tropical delight with a slice or two of pineapple or pineapple chunks and a spoon full of shredded coconut.
