Bleachers: Firefly Festival's mystery band revealed

When the lineups for Firefly Festival and Governors Ball were announced, one major question arose: Who the hell is Bleachers, and why are they billed so high? The band had no social media accounts and no internet presence, yet it nabbed mid-level booking at two of the summer's biggest festivals.

It looks like the cat is finally out of the bag. In a press release this morning, Bleachers has been revealed as the side project of fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff. The band's first single, "I Wanna Get Better," is available now on iTunes.

This announcement may not come as a shock to some. In May, a Facebook post from Brooklyn's Mission Sound studio spilled the beans: "We are really excited to welcome Jack Antonoff (Fun) and his project Bleachers to Mission Sound."

Also, Antonoff's girlfriend, Lena Dunham, posted the band's album artwork on her Instagram prior to the press release with the caption, "Jack's new single."

The song itself is definitely a bit of a departure from Antonoff's work with .fun. Bleachers leans much more toward electro-indie than his other band.

Stayed tuned for more information on Bleachers.
