Blazers lead 3-2 after first.

Boston's top scoring line has come alive during the first quarter, with a little help from the Swarm.

Captain Dan Dawson has a goal and two assists, and Mat Giles and Daryl Veltman each have a goal and an assist.

The Boston Blazers benefited from an early bad penalty from Minnesota forward Sean Pollock, high sticking Bubba During right in front of the refs.

The five minute major lead to two Boston goals, although the Blazers only benefited from three minutes of man up, after a slashing call went against forward Gary Bining.

Outside of the man advantage, however the Blazers offense has been sloppy, with a too many lazy passes and catches.

Their defense, which is where head coach Tom Ryan said the Blazers would win the game, has been very good, holding both Aaron Wilson and Callum Crawford without a goal. The Swarm have goals from Ryan Benesch and Zack Greer.
