Blastr overrides SciFi Wire with force

Blastr, previously known as SCI FI Wire, has taken over delivering the sci-fi news. With a revamped Website, Blastr has joined the crowd of other 1-word brands in it's network of "Syfy," "DVice," and "fiDGit." The new name references a sci-fi ray gun term used in film.

It's Website now matches SyFy's template, with a grey and white background, and branding navigation at the top.

The new site's launch is packaged with a new twitter and facebook social launch, as well as new iPhone and Android apps.

Compared to the business decision to change SciFi Channel to Syfy, this name change is much more in line to what it's business model is since the site blasts out news every day while keeping the science fiction edge.
