Sun, sand, cold brews and great country music. Sounds like the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam in Panama City Beach. This year’s superstar lineup for the Aug. 29-31bash in Florida includes Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Dierks Bentley.
“Selecting artists to headline a festival is always a daunting but exciting task,” festival executive director Rendy Lovelady said in a news release. “Being our second year, I wanted to really make sure that I took into consideration who our fans requested in our surveys.”
Choosing Blake Shelton was easy, Lovelady said. “He led the pack of artist requests in our 2013 surveys.”
Although the 2013 lineup with Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels and other top-notch entertainers was very successful, Lovelady said he noticed afterwards that something was missing last year.
“A female performer,” Lovelady said. “This year we knew we had to find that leading lady that would close out our first day of the festival. It truly was neck-in-neck between two major country females but Carrie made her way to the top. Her achievements are nearly endless.”
During the day, music lovers can enjoy the white sugar sand beneath their feet and the ocean waves washing up on the shore at the beach stage located at the M.B. Miller County Pier. As the sun begins to set, shuttle over to Frank Brown Park and jam out to the star-studded headline stage late into the night. Free shuttles operate between venues and parking lots where festival goers can park free and catch a shuttle to the headline stage at Frank Brown Park.
Tickets for the second annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam are now on sale. “Buying your tickets as early as possible will definitely allow you to secure the lowest price,” said Lovelady.
“We are confirming artists each week and we will have a mixture of new up-and-coming performers, artists that are quickly making their mark on the country music industry, and entertainers who have a long history of topping the charts with hit after hit.”
