Taste of Country is reporting that country music superstar Blake Shelton has set a new record on April 1, 2014, and it is NOT an April Fool's Day joke. Shelton just chalked up another number one hit song, with his latest release of "Doin' What She Likes." The new number one hit makes the 11th consecutive number one song for Shelton, more than any other country music artist.

The previous record of consecutive number one hits was held by Brad Paisley and Shelton, who were tied with 10 number one hits each.

Shelton, who has soared in popularity, has won top awards for Best Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year several years in a row from multiple award shows. He is also one of the judges on the popular reality television show "The Voice," where a member of his team has won the competition a total of three times.

Shelton's latest single is a duet with Shakira, a judge from "The Voice," titled "Medicine" that will appear on Shakira's new album. "Medicine" debuted at No. 57 on Country Airplay charts.

Shelton will also be co-hosting the upcoming 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6, 2014 and performing during the awards show.
