Taste of Country is reporting that country music superstar Blake Shelton has set a new record on April 1, 2014, and this is NO an April Fool's Day joke. Shelton just chalked up another No. 1 hit song, with his latest release of "Doin' What She Likes." The new No. 1 hit makes the 11th consecutive number one song for Shelton, more than any other country music artist today.

The previous record of consecutive No. 1 hits was held by Brad Paisley and Shelton, who were both tied with 10 No. 1 hits each.

Shelton, who has soared in popularity, has garnered the title of Best Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year several years in a row, from multiple different award shows. He is also one of the judges on the popular reality television show "The Voice," where a member of his team has won the competition a total of three times.

Shelton's latest single is a duet with Shakira, a judge from "The Voice," titled "Medicine" that will appear on Shakira's new album. "Medicine" debuted at No. 57 on Country Airplay charts.

Shelton will also be co-hosting the upcoming 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 6, 2014 and is set to be performing during the awards show as well.
