Country music's Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan are confirmed to serve as co-hosts of the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. (ET) Sunday, April 7, on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
Produced by Dick Clark Productions Inc., this year’s show will mark the third consecutive time that Shelton, the reigning ACM Male Vocalist of the Year, has served as host, while Bryan will mark his first turn at hosting duties for the live event.
According to a Jan. 8 missive shared with Examiner.com, Brad Paisley will serve as host for the 3rd Annual ACM Fan Jam that will take place at The Orleans Arena on Sunday, April 7. Per organizers, the live-remote location offers country-music lovers "the ultimate fan-pass to be a part of the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards!"
During the three-hour awards telecast from MGM Grand, there will be live ACM Fan Jam performances via remote from The Orleans Arena by hit-maker Paisley and other top-tier music acts. Additionally, the ACM Fan Jam will continue after the show telecast ends, with performances by Paisley and friends.
For the fourth consecutive year, the ACM and Dick Clark Productions will once more record an all-star concert to be broadcast on CBS at a to-be-announced date. The concert will be taped from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on April 8. Proceeds from the event will benefit ACM Lifting Lives.
In the coming weeks, ACM representatives will announce the full schedule of "The Week Vegas Goes Country," including the slated April 5-7 event known as The ACM Experience, which will be held at The Orleans Hotel and Casino.
