Blake Shelton announced as Grammy performer

The first round of Grammy performers for the 56th annual program were announced today.

Record of the Year Nominee Daft Punk will perform on the three-hour telecast. Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons are also scheduled to appear. Pink and Fun.'s Nate Ruess will team up for a collaboration. A special performance featuring Merle Haggard, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, and Blake Shelton will take place as well. LL Cool J will return as host for the show which dubs itself "Music's Biggest Night."

Jay Z leads the pack of nominees, scoring nine nominations. Daft Punk, Macklemore, Lorde, and Kendrick Lamar also landed multiple nominations.

The Grammy's will take place live on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The show will air live on CBS and be covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com. Additional performers and presenters will be announced within the weeks leading up to the show.
