Country music’s power couple has fallen victim to the classic cheating rumors. There has certainly been a lot of buzz about Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s alleged marital woes. The tabloids have had all the details about the couple supposedly heading to Splitsville. The latest Life & Style cover claims that there was a bizarre face-to-face between Miranda and the younger woman that got close to Blake. As it turns out, the couple apparently didn't even know anything about their own highly publicized cheating scandal prior to the story hitting the shelves. However, the superstar singers decided to make light-hearted fun of the situation on Twitter. On Sunday, March 17, Shelton, 36 tweeted his wife about what he was first discovering about himself.
“Hey @mirandalambert….I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!” Shelton joked.
Lambert, 29, came back with a fun reply, “Oh no! Can’t wait to read if we make it or not!”
Shelton replied with, “Ba! Ha! Ha! You see y’all! I’m making her funnier.”
Mr. and Mrs. Shelton have addressed falsified information via Twitter at least once before. Last November, rumors were flying that the pair was expecting a baby.
“Wow! I just read the headline! ‘We are having a baby’ yay! Blake Shelton, we’re getting a new puppy?” she tweeted at her husband during the baby talk.
“Either Miranda is pregnant or Reese had my baby….I’m confused too!” said Blake. At the time he was referring to the cover which was split between Reese Witherspoon and her new baby, along with Miranda and Blake.
“I think it’s gonna take the Witherspoon name,” he added.
“Look, I know I’ve gained some weight, but the test was negative!” continued Blake.
Despite the tabloid report, the couple is still together and happy. Not only is married life good, but their careers aren’t doing too shabby either. Blake is currently #1 on the charts, while wife Miranda is #2.
