The rumors have been flying that Blake Lively wants Serena van der Woodsen killed of Gossip Girl so the young starlet can pursue a movie career. Lively has two major movies coming out soon: The Town, starring Ben Affleck and The Green Lantern, where she portrays Carol Ferris.
Rumor was Lively wanted the young van der Woodsen killed off in a dramatic fashion because Serena has one of the most dramatic story lines on the show.
Josh Schwartz just gave the fans some good news on twitter. Here is what he said, "Have to respond: no truth to rumors that BL requested to have Serena killed. All is well. GG S4 back on 9/13."
Schwartz also commented that he usually does not respond to rumors or gossip but this seemed to upset a lot of fans.
Many fans spoke out saying that an end to Serena van der Woodsen would be the end of the show because she is the center of the show along with character Blair Waldorf, played by Leighton Meester.
Have no fear Gossip Girl fans, because the rumor is not true. Remember season four of Gossip Girl starts on Monday, September 13, 2010 on The CW at 9/8c on Time Warner Cable channel 10 or on digital 6.2.
