Pop singer-songwriter Blake Lewis released his newest single, “Your Touch,” to iTunes on Monday night. The track is a delicate love song with an EDM lean.
Lewis has been releasing music since his runner-up stint on “American Idol” back in 2007. He recently signed with Republic Records to distribute his upcoming third album, “Portrait of a Chameleon.” The song “Your Touch” will serve as the record's first single. It is currently being promoted as the theme for the latest Internet Explorer 10 commercial.
“Your Touch” opens with sparse production as Lewis sings about his major affection for a loved one. The snaps then lead into breakbeat drums, which signal the track's transition to full-on EDM. Over a heavy dubstep sound, Lewis holds his own when he pleas for more closeness. The final result is a monster love song full of emotion.
Lewis' “Portrait of a Chameleon” album will be released around spring time later this year.
