Blake Griffin wins NBA slam dunk contest during All-Star Weekend

Former Sooner basketball player Blake Griffin has won the 2011 NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Contest. This year's contest was quite a treat for television viewers because there were plenty of theatrics involved in the dunks. In all, NBA All-Star Weekend is turning out to be the Clipper's Blake Griffin show.

One of the big thrills of the evening involved three balls. That dunk wasn't Griffin's though. JaVale McGee is the one who treated fans to that unique dunk. Finally, Griffin's most memorable dunk involved a car and a choir. Yes, that's right. He lept over the hood of the car to slam the ball home.

Ultimately, fans voted, and Griffin took the title with over 65% of the vote. OKC fan Sam said, "I was going for Serge Ibaka from The Thunder, but once he was out, I knew Griffin had to win." Many Oklahoma City viewers felt this way as they watched the NBA Slam Dunk contest on TNT.
