Blain’s Farm & Fleet seeking real-people models for print ads (Video)

Horse lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who long for a season of fashion modeling may be in luck. Blain’s Farm & Fleet has issued a call for volunteer models for upcoming print advertisements and promotional publications.

“We are looking for new models, especially ages 13 and up, to model,” stated a January 4 post on the company’s Facebook fan page.

With some 35 stores scattered throughout the Upper Midwest, the 1955-founded Blain’s Farm & Fleet publishes 39 flyers each year, mailing approximately 3.5 million copies to customers and prospects in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. The retailer focuses primarily on agricultural provisions, automotive components and tools, barn equipment, farm supplies, hardware, horse tack and grooming accessories, hunting items, and related gear.

Apparel brands include Carhartt, Columbia, Dickie’s, Dingo, Lee, Levi’s, Oshkosh B’Gosh, Wrangler, and more.

Online applications are available on the Blain’s Farm & Fleet website for fashion model applicants.

A full-length photo is required with each application. Applicants must be willing to travel without recompense for time or expenses to Janesville, Wisconsin (see map), for 30- to 60-minute photo shoots. Each minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Photo release forms will be required of all models.

Although the positions are unpaid, all Blain’s Farm & Fleet models will receive fashion modeling experience, free exposure in print, and tear-sheets for their own portfolios. Each participant will also receive a gift card for Blain’s Farm & Fleet.
