Athlete star Oscar Pistorius, was taken into custody by law enforcement Thursday, reported CNN on Feb. 14. South African police officials arrested and charged the ‘Blade Runner’ star for allegedly killing his model girlfriend, Reena Skeenkamp.
Pistorius and his model girlfriend were together on the eve of Valentine’s Day in his Pretoria home when an argument ensued; concerned neighbors notified authorities.
According to HuffPost media reports, a gun and the dead model was discovered on the premises of the athlete's home.
The ‘Blade Runner’ star was an accomplished paralympian runner whose abilities earned him national titles and gold medals for his home country of South Africa.
The internationally renowned athlete ran Olympic races using specially made leg prosthetics; the disabled runner lost both legs to a bone defect as a toddler.
The 30-year old girlfriend of the ‘Blade Runner’ star was model and law school graduate; the pair dated for months until her untimely death, Huffpost reported.
No motive for the shooting was released to the public to date.
