The last game in Wadjet Eye Games’ Blackwell series, “Blackwell: Epiphany,” will be released on the iPhone and iPad, game creator Dave Gilbert told Examiner in an exclusive interview at New York City Comic Con yesterday.
According to Gilbert, “Blackwell Epiphany” will be the largest of the games in the series, with over 80 locations and will feature “the best voice acting in the series.” Continuing the story of spirit medium Rosa Blackwell and her ethereal sidekick Joey Malone, the two must solve a mystery that has them and the spirit world shocked and confused.
“They try and save a ghost and they see that it loses its soul and is completely destroyed,” Gilbert told Examiner. “This is obviously not a good thing. It’s about more than helping the ghosts move on- it’s about saving them. They’re looking into how and why this is happening and how they’re going to try and stop it. It ties well into all of the four previous games and I hope it brings it all to a nice conclusion.”
Blackwell: Epiphany is scheduled for an early 2014 release on the iPad and iPhone.
