Blackhawks finalize roster as they send 3 players down to Rockford

The Blackhawks wrap up training camp tomorrow but that hasn’t stopped them from finalizing the roster. The Hawks sent down forwards Jimmy Hayes and Brandon Pirri and defenseman Ryan Stanton to the Rockford Icehogs of the American Hockey League.

The Hawks will start the season carrying 23 players on the roster but have 24 guys on the team as Steve Montador has not been cleared to play after failing his physical earlier this week. The Hawks recalled Andrew Shaw, Marcus Kruger, Nick Leddy, Brandon Bollig and Brandon Saad earlier in the week from Rockford. Those five will start the season on the Hawks roster.

Here is the list of Blackhawks that will be on the roster on opening day on Saturday in Los Angeles.
