Usually retailers want to sell you the jeans they have, but Blackbird in Ballard wants to buy your jeans this Sunday.
In a post on their blog recently, the store announced that on Sunday, February 17 from 11 am - 2 pm, you're asked to bring them your old jeans and if your denim makes the cut, you'll receive a $40 Blackbird gift card.
The store didn't elaborate on what the jeans would be used for, but they did specify that they are looking for used raw denim. They don't care what state the jeans are in, so if the crotch is worn out or the knees have big holes in them, that's perfectly fine. They just want the denim.
They did mention that not every pair brought in will make the cut, so if you're not sure, it might be best to give the store a call at 206-547-2524 and let them know what you have before heading to the event.
Blackbird is located at 5410 22nd Ave NW in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood.
