Blackberry Smoke is the new sound of Southern Rock. In their young career they have opened for ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Zac Brown Band. The Zac Brown Band was so impressed by Blackberry Smoke they signed them to their Southern Ground Label. Friday night they rock The Fillmore Silver Spring.
It is billed as “The Ones to Watch presents Blackberry Smoke” and the band is certainly one to watch. The band is currently touring across the country in support of their latest CD “The Whippoorwill” and DVD “Live at the Georgia Theater.” In addition to visiting cities the band will be aboard Kid Rocks’ Chillin’ the Most Cruise,” jamming out at The Wanee Festival and at the Taste of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mountain in New York. Tickets for the show are $20 a piece and can be ordered from Live Nation here. The show is standing room only and general admission. The show is scheduled to start at 8PM.
