New BlackBerry handsets prove to be a hit with online shoppers

CouponCodes4u.com released their latest research study yesterday that shows RIM (now BlackBerry) is definitely on the comeback trail. Shortly after the new Blackberry announcement was made, there was a large increase of BlackBerry related searches on their heavily viewed site, with as many searches for BlackBerry discounts made by US consumers on-site in one day as seen in the past two months.

BlackBerry also enjoyed a better first day reception than rival Apple, with 3 times the amount of searches made on the website than the iPhone 5 when it was announced last year. The site statistics, released by www.CouponCodes4u.com, were revealed after the site noticed a large influx in traffic following the BlackBerry announcement yesterday.

According to the site statistics, searches relating to "BlackBerry" made by consumers in the 6 hours following the initial announcement totaled the amount made on the site in the last 2 months. Furthermore, BlackBerry related discount searches were three times that of those made on the site for the iPhone 5 in the six hours following Apple’s announcement last year.
