"Black Swan" Receives Five Oscar Nominations

Nabbing five Oscar nominationsBlack Swan” is the front runner for Horror/Genre fans. Not a horror film in the traditional sense, “Black Swan” is a horrifying film to say the least; unnerving, chilling, and featuring a great transformation drawn out through the course of the film. Viewers would be hard pressed to find a Horror film released this past year that will leave them more unsettled and restless than Darren Aronofsky’s most recent effort “Black Swan”.

Already receiving a Golden Globe win for her portrayal of mentally tormented ballerina Nina Sayers, Natalie Portman has received a nod for Best Actress, other nods for the picture include: Best Picture, Best Director (Darren Aronofsky), Best Cinematography (Matthew Libatique) and Best Editing (Andrew Weisblum).

Black Swan” can still be found at numerous theaters in the Columbus, Ohio area (AMC Easton Town Center 30/Arena Grand Theatre) so if you are looking for a good genre watch go and check out Darren Aronofsky’s most recent masterpiece “Black Swan
