His approval of gay marriages has earned Barack Obama the disapproval from a group of Black Pastors whose conservative viewpoints clash with the Commander in Chief.
According to an article posted on the Tea Party website, these Conservative Pastors have washed their hands of Barack Obama over his approval of gay marriages. The Pastors are said to be mounting a campaign against the president that will encourage other blacks to abandon Obama in this election year.
The Tea Party has a short video from Rev. William Owens, president and founder of Coalition of African American Pastors, who leads the charge against President Obama. Because of his recent approval for civil unions, Rev. Owens believes Obama is not the presidential choice for any black Christian.
With the election less than 90 days away, each candidate is doing everything possible to win votes. Denver is one of the key states in this 2012 challenge. Will race relations in Denver be as important to Obama as gay marriage?
Is Obama betting that there is a greater voting population of gay Americans that he could win over rather than black Christians he could lose?
