Tuesday, The Sun ran a story about two black parents who gave birth to a white baby, the story shows video and photos of the parents and baby. The baby is white with blond hair and the parents are both black, they said that don't believe there were any white family members in their history. Both the mother and father are shocked by the blond haired baby news and just stared at her when they first saw her.
Dad Ben, 44, said: "We both just sat there after the birth staring at her." He said that he knows the baby is his, but he said, “Is she mine?” He added: "Actually, the first thing I did was look at her and say, 'What the flip?'"
Mom Angela, 35, said: "She's beautiful - a miracle baby."
Professor Bryan Sykes from Oxford University said this about a white baby being born to a black couple:
“All skin and eye colour are controlled by the pigment melanin. And there are about a dozen genes that control the amount or type of melanin. Even if there have been convergence of a pale version of the parents’ genes, there would have to be some form of white ancestry on both sides for this baby to look this way. It is more likely that there has been some other mutation that’s happened to produce this colouring.”
The couple named the blue-eyed blonde baby Nmachi, which means "Beauty of God" in the Nigerian couple's homeland. Doctors at the hospital where the baby was born, Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup said that Nmachi isn’t albino.

I think the baby is albino. If she cheated, the baby would have been darker. To me, the baby looks albino. Life is life and should be celebrated regardless of the circumstances.

I take offense to Ryan's comment about typical black people. I am a black woman who has never cheated and never been cheated on and I have dated black men. I am happily married to a successful black man and we have 2 beautiful children together...both biologically his and no diseases. same thing happened to a star in the 60's. she was white and had a beautiful black baby. but was afraid of what her fans would say, so she put it up for adoption. even at that time i said who cares. as long it's a healthy child.

The odds are slim that the majority of racist are NOT in the US but I concede some may be in Canada or other English speaking countries. The bulk will be in the USA IMO. Racism is a sort of pattern in this country unfortunately that I have noticed from both races!!

i just saw the picture of her. she is beutiful..right now she looks white but the older she gets her features will devolop more and you will be able to see the she is black. most people will belive she is mixed. i had a friend who black and his girl friend white, when thier child was born she looked white over the frist few months she gradually got darker. now you cant even tell she is part white. my cousin has a little girl whos father is black, i never even guessed she was black till i saw a pic of her dad, i belived she was hispanic because all i knew of her father was that he was from puerto rica. i think everyone needs to not make such a big deal about color and just celebrate life
