With the first downloadable content for “Black Ops 2” scheduled to be released on the Xbox 360 on Jan. 29, today Treyarch has provided us with a detailed page of this expansion pack through the official website for “Black Ops 2.” Through the use of this new web-page, we have been granted details regarding three additions that has many gamers on their toes. These new additions involve the Peacekeeper SMG, the new Turned zombie mode, and the Die Rise zombie map.
For the first time in the “Call of Duty” franchise, a new multiplayer weapon will be added through an expansion pack. With the Revolution DLC for “Black Ops 2,” players will be granted the Peacekeeper SMG. With the addition of this new weapon, many fans have wondered if submachine gun challenges will be affected with this addition. From the information given, it is stated that this weapon will have separate weapon challenges, which will not affect diamond camouflage for other weapons.
In regards to the new zombie mode, which is called Turned, players will finally have the ability to play as a zombie. It is stated that there will be one human player trying to survive against zombies players. Once you kill the human, you will then become the human player. Players will only gain points when they are playing as the human, so it is best to survive as long as possible.
Die Rise will be set in a devastated Chinese city. Players will find themselves inside a variety of collapsed skyscrapers as they try to survive the zombie onslaught. With the use of this zombie map, players will have the ability to access upgraded Wonder Weaponry, as well as create buildable devices through salvage material.
