'Black Ops 2' gets Twitch TV functionality through new partnership (Photos)

Earlier this morning, Twitch TV announced a new partnership with Activision for “Black Ops 2,” which is shown in the slideshow above this article. With this new partnership, starting today on the Xbox 360, players will have the ability to broadcast their gameplay sessions directly to their channel on Twitch TV. Players will not have to worry about purchasing any extra hardware or software to access this functionality, as it is done within their copy of “Black Ops 2.”

“Since its release in November 2012, Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops II has consistently been one of the most popular titles on Twitch, and gamers have made it clear that they wanted to see our live streaming technology implemented into the game. We hope you agree that it’s been worth the wait, as Twitch in-game broadcasting supports a number of fantastic features”

With this new service, players will have the ability to connect directly to their Twitch account from “Black Ops 2.” Users will also have the ability to enable a picture-in-picture mode with the use of the Xbox Kinect. Players will also have the ability to share this live feed to their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

It has been stated that this functionality will also be coming to the PS3 and PC platforms very soon. Currently, we do not have a specific date that this feature will become available for the PS3 and PC, but we will be sure to update you when we have knowledge of this.
