Treyarch and Activision probably do not typically support people downloading “Black Ops 2” for free but this weekend they are making an exception on Steam. Feb. 21 Valve posted on Steampowered news that “Black Ops 2” multiplayer is free to play this weekend until Sunday at 1 p.m.
To take advantage of this opportunity to try out the game for free just load your Steam client and open the games library. Then find “Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Multiplayer” and click the install button. The game should download and you are good to go for a couple of days.
Treyarch has some strict anti-cheat rules in place for playing “Black Ops 2” that where explained prior to the games launch, so check them out and remember to play fair. There is no sense in downloading the game and playing for free just to end up with a lifetime ban from the game.
To make the deal even sweeter, “Black Ops 2” is on sale this weekend for 33% off. This makes the standard version $40.19 and the Digital Deluxe Edition just $53.59. This is a unique opportunity to download a big hit free and not be breaking any rules.
