'Black Knight Sword' release date announced: December 12, 2012 (Photos)

December 12, 2012 won't be the end of the world, however it may be the end of all your spare time. Suda 51, Digital Reality, and Grasshopper Manufacture is releasing "Black Knight Sword" on Xbox LIVE on Wednesday, December 12, 2012.

"Black Knight Sword" is a challenging dark fantasy fairy tale where you must undertake a quest to "Defeat the Evil White Princess." A throwback to the 8 and 16 bit platform era, the game's graphics are a modern spin of pop-up books you may have read as a child.

"The Black Knight is led by the sword fairy through a whimsical world of eye-catching environments filled with curious looking creatures, only to discover who really caused the nightmare tragedy that he now finds himself trapped in..."

Some of the enemies in the game look really macabre, and as the Black Knight slays his foes there are huge bursts of blood in this bizarre looking game.
