Freeze Warning in effect for Central & Southern Mississippi
If you are headed out early on Friday morning for "Black Friday" sales, you will definitely need to bundle up as the first freeze of the season is likely.
A cold airmass was surging into the state this morning, as a result, high temperatures will remain in the 50s statewide and this will lead to a cold night ahead.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning across Central and Southern Mississippi -Friday morning, as temperatures will likely drop to around or below freezing across the area.
This will be the coldest night overall across the state so far this season.

Strong high pressure will bring light winds and clear skies to the area tonight, allowing efficient radiational cooling and freezing temperatures to develop.
